Mac McCaleb

Prescott, AZ USA

Meet the iConquer US Based Guides Leadership Team & Trainers
Mac: Charter Member of the iConquer Advisory Board, Lead Guide Grand Canyon, Executive Guide Trainer

Growing up in the desert of Arizona, Mac learned how to appreciate the unique landscape by placing himself in it. Climbing and hiking in the granite hills of The McDowell’s near Phoenix were where the outdoor adventure bug took hold. Mac has traveled to far away climbing destinations for any type of climbing, hiking, and cultural experience; all while working towards his American Mountain Guides Association Rock & Alpine Guide Certifications.

Incorporating his passions of the outdoors and education, Mac always seeks to provide a quality learning experience for new climbers and hikers that are looking to push their personal boundaries. Before joining The Walking Connection, Mac found himself in Prescott to attend the local University to complete his degree in Aerospace Engineering. Furthermore, he has worked locally in several roles as an outdoor-based educator for youth and adults through a local outdoor school and Prescott College. Mac currently teaches Physics at a local charter school when he isn't out in the mountains. Mac loves seeking out new experiences and sharing them with others and is excited to share his passion for education and preparing people to enjoy the outdoors and create unique memories.

Mac is a Wilderness First Responder, American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Certified Single-Pitch Instructor and an AMGA Apprentice Alpine Guide.”
