As part of Team A.I.M., you'll receive a comprehensive online training program and schedule, newsletters and information that will fully prepare you for the rigors of your GrandCanyon adventure.

Guided hikes and a planned adventure itinerary. Grand Canyon is one of the most recognizable and important adventure destinations in the world. Conquer The Canyon provides a comprehensive adventure itinerary filled with just about everything you need to enjoy a fun, safe and memorable experience. Our professional Arizona and Grand Canyon guides will see to it.

 

Fundraising support. From your own web page to the helpful staff and fundraising guidance from Team AIM so your fundraising will be rewarding and successful.

 

While in Arizona...

 

A fabulous Mission Celebration weekend. Your custom Arizona adventure itinerary includes ground transportation, hotel accommodations, professional Grand Canyon guides, most meals, pre-and post-hike activities, and much more.

 

An unforgettable experience. You will work hard to prepare yourself for this incredible journey and while you experience Arizona, you will know you are making a difference in the lives of those who are deeply affected by the challenges life has presented to them.

Itinerary Overview

Many of the planned activities are organized according to availability, events or seasonal dates, appropriate weather conditions, schedules of hosts, or the discretion of our guides. We make every effort to provide the experience described in the itinerary with the understanding that some things may change.

 

Day One - Arrive Arizona - Valley Of The Sun

 

•Arrive in Phoenix

•Transfer to hotel

•Welcome Pizza Party

(Overnight Phoenix)

 

Day Two - Arizona Journey

 

Travel through the Sonoran Desert to the Red Rock Country of Sedona, through Oak Creek Canyon and on to Grand Canyon.

 

  • Breakfast

  • Travel Phoenix to Sedona

  • Self-guided hike and picnic lunch in Sedona

  • Travel from Sedona to Grand Canyon

  • Visit Grand Canyon South Rim

  • Mission Inspiration Dinner

Day Three - Hike Day - Grand Canyon

Conquer The Canyon offers a wide range of trails for your Grand Canyon adventure. While each of the hikes offers differing views and varying degrees of difficulty, all provide an exciting adventure in Grand Canyon National Park. You and your team will have the rare experience of hiking with a professional Grand Canyon interpretive guide.

 

  • Sunrise Over Grand Canyon

  • Guided hike in Grand Canyon

  • Travel through the East Canyon, Cameron, Hopi Reservation, Petrified Forest

Day Four - Springerville - NE-AZ Adventure

A day exploring the little known sites of central and North Eastern Arizona.  Visit and walk the site of Casa Malpais and learn of the ancient culture that once inhabited this area. Experience the amazing rock art and learn about the fascinating geology and human history that surrounds you here. Visit Lyman Lake for a short hike and spend the afternoon at the Little House Museum.

Day Five - NE AZ - Show Low - Sedona

  • Breakfast

  • Travel through the White Mountains and the only city in America named after a poker game (Show Low) and on Winslow (Where you can stand on the corner). Check the Eagles Song "Take It Easy." There is actually a statue on the corner to honor the song.

  • Lunch

  • Walnut Canyon National Monument

  • Dinner

Day Six - Sedona

  • Breakfast

  • Sedona - Red Rock Crossing

  • Special Walks, Programming by Brad McGarry.

You can join a team of like-minded people, support others who need your help,  and experience Grand Canyon in a way few others ever have -- with a fun team of friends, an expert guide leading the way, one step at a time. Your hike will be led by Mercyhurst's Brad and Aimee McGarry. iConquer guides, Alex, Nolan, and Christine are scheduled to join your team as needed. All are Wilderness First Responders because your safety is our highest priority. They are your guides to Northern Arizona, Grand Canyon, and FUN!
